The Soliton Pulse Generator

Following the recent experiments regarding the Soliton Pulse Coil I have decided to try this for myself.  I have tried various combinations and you may see the scope shots below.

OVERALL SETUP

 

FOR CONFIRMATION PURPOSES THE SAME CONTROLLER CIRCUIT WAS ALSO USED

 

 

THE CADUCEUS COIL

 

THIS SHOT SHOWS THE STANDARD SETUP, THE CADUCEUS COIL WITH 3 STANDARD AM ANTENNA TYPE FERRITE RODS INSIDE. THE TOP SIGNAL IS THE TRANSISTOR PULSE (CH1) AND THE LOWER SIGNAL (CH2) IS THE COIL RESPONSE DURING THE OFF PHASE.  THE COIL HAS 341uH INDUCTANCE, SO THE FIELD IS NOT COMPLETELY CANCELLED.

 

THIS SHOT IS THE SAME WITH THE FERRITE RODS REMOVED.  THE AFFECT IS MUCH REDUCED WITHOUT THE RODS.

 

THIS SHOT IS WITH A SMALL RELAY COIL IN LINE WITH THE CADUCEUS COIL. THE AFFECT HAS LARGELY DISAPPEARED.

 

THIS SHOT IS WITH THE CADUCEUS COIL REMOVED AND THE RELAY COIL INSERTED ALONE. THE RELAY COIL HAS 156.7mH INDUCTANCE.

 

THIS SHOT SHOWS A LARGE COIL OF 0.56MM WIRE WITH 8.278mH INDUCTANCE, THIS TIME THERE IS NO IRON CORE.

 

THOUGHTS: THE MORE INDUCTANCE WE ADD, THE MORE THE AFFECT REDUCES. THE AFFECT IS GREATEST BY JUST USING THE CADUCEUS COIL ALONE AND IS STILL PRESENT EVEN WITH THE RODS REMOVED. THE AFFECT IS LESS WITHOUT THE RODS, BUT IT IS STILL PRESENT, THIS INDICATES AN INDUCTIVE COMPONENT, BUT WHEN WE ADD MORE INDUCTANCE (COIL WISE) THE AFFECT DISAPPEARS....
