Gravity Hill - Aston Clinton Mystery Spot
Created 26/06/2006
Gravity Hills, Mystery Spots, Vortexes or Optical Illusions? In various places around the world there are strange areas where gravity seems to be altered. The more famous one is in Santa Cruz. In these spots water seems to run up hill and cars seem to roll up hill when the handbrake is taken off.
Most people put this down to an optical illusion. Some researchers however have taken a deeper look. Bill Alek for example built a sensor which consists of two precision oscillators separated by several hundred feet of cable, the signal from box is fed in to a mixer and a beat/difference frequency is produced. These oscillators are precision and do not drift due to heat or other effects. If time is running the same at both ends, then the beat frequency will remain the same, however if the beat frequency changes then time must run differently at one end! For instance, if we know the frequency of each oscillator has not altered, yet we see a change in beat frequency, then time must have altered. Bill showed that time runs different in the Santa Cruz spot than in the surrounding area, adding up to several minutes a day! This kind of test cannot be explained as an optical illusion...
Thinking I would never get to see one of these spots, I was delighted to find one less than an hours drive away!
